Is there any way to create a dogged leg section, other than a straight section line through the building?

like most things in revit, sections are very intelligent. we are new users but we learnt early on to look up the top and bottom of the screen, because relevant things appear whenever you are in the middle of something. eg sections - after you select a section, in the options bar will appear 'split segment' and you just click and move the segments. so clever.
at the risk of sounding silly - revit tutorials and help is really good, unlike some software. go have a look! we learnt a huge amount just glancing through a few tutorials.
hope this helps.
