We are a architectual office in Northern Norway that has been working with Revit for some months now. At the moment we are working with a big project. We have experienced that when we are copying or mirroring a group, then the new group are acting strange. It spread some of the contents around in the project. And then we have to colect all the parts and assemble it togetter again.
When that happens, the group comand is useless... It`s ashame.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing??

YES! that happens with groups sometimes what version do you have? I haven't had this problem for a while...
also, tell me what you have in the group.
it's best to group similar elements together.

One week ago we got 8.1 I`m not sure how the update handle the groups. Have not been working with them the last week. I will try tomorrow when I come to the office to work with the groups. Midnight over here right now....

I am having the same issues, working with 8.1 I'm not sure what is going on, but until this is resolved the group concept is basically unusable. Is it possible that something so important to efficient workflow just is not functional in Revit, or am I missing something?

My understanding is that Revit 9 will streamline making and using details, so when it comes out in another month that may solve your problems.

Has anyone found a solution to this in R9? I'm still having an issue with elements within a detail group ending up in other parts of the drawing. Help?
