Please take a look at this image. I have a "dakkapel" (roof-window) which is good in all views, except for a floor plan. It isn't cut in the floor plan! Why is that? I've checked the view-range, it's at 1500 above level. (drawn a ref-plane to indicate it...) Is there a way to make it cut, so you see the horizontal section in the floorplan? Thnks!

Is the roof window a cutable family? Is the dormer and dormer roof standard Revit walls & Roof or something i-place?

Hello, dormer is a family with all kinds of solids. Category is casework.

Dormer walls and roof would have been better off as walls and roof. Casework does cut so that should work. As I asked before, what about the roof? .... and the window? Remember, If you use a non-cutable family and if any part of that family (including invisible lines) is cut by the view plane, then the entire family will be shown and it will not be cut.

The entire element, so walls, roofs, insulation etc, are all in the same family, all casework. The roof...? In the project: just a revit Roof, in the family: the standard roof which is there once you open a "roof-based family". I've read post about non-cuttable families, so already checked that, and yes, casework should be cut....

Sorry, but I don't think I can give you any better advice because the problem appears to be with your dormer family.

Hmm, been tweaking a bit, changing the category to "generic model" solves the problem! Strange, because a "casework" family should be cuttable... Thanks anyway for the help!
