Really easy question, and im sure this is darn easy to do!But how do i use 2D CAD Blocks in Revit? Mainly want to use Plan Views of Vegetation in the Site plan without have to bring in a family..

You can use a CAD DWG in revit but any blocks in the CAD file are not functional, just 2D objects. 

 

For your purpose, you are better off to create a family that has the CAD 2D data converted to Revit 2D data.  

 

But even better yet, why are you not using Revit's 3D vegetation?  It has a 2D symbol for plans ... which you can customize if you need to.

Also for my understanding, what do you mean by "Mainly want to use Plan Views of Vegetation in the Site plan without having to bring in a family". How do you use CAD Block without having to bring in a block?.

I simply want them for the plan view and Revits Trees are pretty basic in just circles where as CAD Block show abit more detail.How can you customize them?
