Dear AllI have a curved roof, which I have made using roof by profile but I need to cut back the rrof as an overhang on the extruded edge of the roof as per the attachments. I have tried making a mass and cutting the geometry but this does not seem to work, I am reluctant to make the roof as a mass as I will need to make sections and sooner or later 1:5 details. I hope someone can advise on the easiect way forward? many thanks egoled

If i understand this issue and i think you create that roof by "Extrusion" what you need to "Cut" just use an "IN-PLACE" family in the "ROOF" category, then create a "Void extrusion" in a elevation view and use the "Cut Geometry" tool between the void and the roof, now you can finish the in-place family, also, you can create a "Mass" with the shape you want then in "Massing and site" use the "Roof by Face", if you need to change anything in that roof, edit the Mass, change the mass like you want, finish the mass, select the roof and in the options bar you have a button "Update to Face", this will update your roof to the new shape of the mass. I hope this help. Cheers
