Basically, I have Revit Building 8.1 on my PC at home. My school has Revit 8.0. Is there ANY way to bring a .rvt file into that scenario and work. Is there a conversion tool? I know about exporting into DWF and DWG. If I export as a DWF, save the families and groups. Will it retain all the great information that BIM allows for?
Thankyou all,

nope, there is no way possible to save back. Exporting to any format will lose intelligence. Get your school to upgrade, they should have educational subscriptions which allow upgrades.
