I'm hoping this is an easy answer. I assigned my own materials to a wall panel (based on a B+N Industries "Iconic Panel". I manipulated the original line art in PhotoShop to make a .jpg file with the correct colors and pattern. When I assign the material in the rendering dialog, it displays correctly as a 4'x8' image, vertically oriented. When I render the view, the image is rotated 90 degrees and tiled. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

can't birds fly sidways too? maybe you could just click on the decal and rotate it 90 degrees.. give that a try.. don't forget you can look at how it will render by selecting "realistic" down on your view bar..

sorry maribeth i didn't read your question carefully enough and i just assumed it was a decal.. but as a material you will need to go into the texture editor and transforms and positions and scales and all that stuff..

Hi WS1WIG, OK, I went into the "Position" window while editing the image. This is where it gets squirrely. If I rotate the image 270 degrees and scale it to 8' wide x 4' tall the image displayed is oriented the right way in regards to the "ground" being parallel to the 4' axis. But, there are three squashed images on top of one another (tiled). But, if I leave the settings like this and hit Apply and OK, it displays correctly in the Family editor window. But then, once I update the family in my plan, it still displays the same way it did in the image I posted yesterday. I also think I have tried every rotational combination out there and still get the same image in my 3D views. Ugh!! Help me if you can!! I'll try anything!!!! Thanks! mb

I'm also having this issue. I created my own rendering material with an image of a tile pattern. When select this image in my materials library to create this new material, it appears correctly in the preview. However, when I look at the object that I have assigned this material to (looking at it in "realistic"), the image is rotated. I even tried rotating the original image and repeating the same steps to create a new material, and it is still oriented incorrectly. This is so bizarre.
