I am trying to detach a model from centralto give the model to our Architect...or to experiment in the project. But even when I hit the "detach from central" radial box, then save...and reopen...still referencing the central model. I cannot get the model to detach. Help..

Once a project has been set to workshared it will always be workshared. The solution is to do as you have done but set the save to save as new central file. This will still be a workshared file but it can reside as a seperate central.
