I am a lab consultant who uses Revit Architecture (currently using Revit Architecture 2011). As a consultant, we link the architectural model into our own and we typically turn off the architectural room tags and insert our own room names so that we can manipulate the tags (they usually get in the way of our furniture). This always creates "duplicate tag" errors in Revit, that we have to ignore because we don't know how else to get around the issue. It's also a pain because each time we receive a new model from the architect, we have to manually go through and check to make sure that none of the room names or numbers changed. Apparently, you can't Copy/Monitor Room tags. I realize that there is a way to do this using Revit MEP and inserting Spaces, but I guess Autodesk doesn't figure that consultants would be using the same version of Revit as the architect so they haven't added this feature to Architecture. Any suggestions?
