I posted this a little earlier on the forum, but got no response, so I figured I would try one last time before conceding defeat! What I'm attempting to do is seemingly simple but I can't seem to get it right. I am trying to get two curtain wall grids to align around a corner, when one of the mass faces is at an angle. The attached images explain precisely what I'm trying to do. Any suggestions would help. Thanks !

To align your grids somewhat, use reference planes and align the grids on each face to those planes. You do realize that the standard horizontal mullions will never truly align because the mullions will remain perpendicular to the glass face. If that is not what you want, you will have to do in place sweeps for the horizontal mullions. You will probably also have to use a special in-place mullion that you create for the corners.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate the quick response. That's what I was worried about. I was hoping there was a more precise way to do it, but maybe not. As far as the mullions being perpendicular, I worked through this by setting their profile to have an angle opposite of the wall itself; i.e. if the wall is angled at a 30 degrees, the mullion profile is set to have a -30 degree angle. However this still seems clunky, and is far from the accurate result I am hoping for.

Revit is kind of like the real world. If you want to do something really abnormal, it will probably be more expensive in the field as well as in the office.

" Yes indeed, I have heard this before regarding things Revit has difficulty doing, however I would hardly consider the condition described ( image attached) as abnormal or expensive.

If you want your mullions perpindicular to the face of the glass then absolutly, not expensive and Revit will show those just fine. But you are indicating you want to change the profiles so the the mullions are flat in relation to the world and angled with respect to the glass. Do you really believe special extrusions are inexpensive? Sorry - you are wrong. And you can do these in Revit but they will take some time.

" What I am indicating is that I am trying to recreate a common condition, and it is common, where there are mullions that converge at the corner of a straight and angled facade. On the contrary, this is not expensive, due mostly to the fact that it's so often done, but this seems beyond our aggreement, which is fine I simply wish it was easier to craft in Revit. Once again, I do appreciate your help WWHub.
