2010 Is there a way to hook the view title box length to the text. or have multiple view titles active on my sheets. My problem is I have some drawings called Truss X and some labled, Detailed Floor plan, Suite A. So my title box appears mostly empty for Truss X. I am tired of having to have all the view titles on the sheets the same length. thank you, AAron

Sorry, there is no way to do this.
You can have seperate titles that are different lengths but not set according to your text length.

Hello!
I am rather concerned that these threads are all dead ends. I am working with REVIT 2013 and want to know if I can now add a family parameter to the View Title. I don't need or require a link but I would like a text that (editable) so our drawing titles are not as long as the sheet itself.
Has REVIT added this flexibility in 2013? Curious REVIT supporter wants to know! Thanks in advance,

Symbol,
I currently have two families for drawing titles on sheets. One is for long and one is for short names. There is a square divided horizontally wtih drawing number on top and sheet number on bottom. then another box divided horizontally w drawing name on top and scale. They are attached below. I hope they work for you.

Aaron,
thanks so much for the sample .rfa files but that is the point I got to. I will have to live with the fact that the "text box" is the limit of my character lengths.
I have done what you've done with your files but on the long one I had to adjust the scale text field so that title line doesn't extend over it.
Is REVIT going to add more flexibility to the drawing extractor? Also, why can AutoDESK not get their own suite of software to communitcate and interpret itself?
I wish they'd take more on themselves as the developer for *us* the end users!
Thanks,

Symbol, you can edit those families to different lenghts if you need. you just can't make the box ... parametric... to move with longer text.

Aaron,
again thanks for the reference files but as I said I am using the length of the box to initiate the second line but as a result I had to move the scale data field down so accomodate the longer title.
greatful,
