Hi all, I am trying to create a curtain window. It's not working for some reason. Below are the directions provided by revit with my addedd notes. I am fine up until the part where I need to change the type by accessing the type selector. The curtain I created and loaded into my project is not available in the type selector. The type selector only shows wall types. The curtain window I created is automatically loaded into the curtain panel family. What am I doing wrong? Quote from revit help files plus my notes: "Curtain wall doors and windows are curtain wall panel families you can create to add directly to curtain walls. When you create the families, you are creating panels that can schedule as doors and windows. The door or window will resize to the size of the curtain wall panel. There are already premade curtain wall door and window families: Curtain Wall Sgl Glass.rfa, Curtain Wall Dbl Glass.rfa, Curtain Wall Awning.rfa. The following procedure is a general procedure for creating a curtain wall door or family. Your steps may differ based on design intent. 1.From the File menu, choose New, Family. (I did this) 2.From the Open dialog box, choose Door - Curtain Wall.rft for a curtain wall door or Window - Curtain Wall.rft for a curtain wall window and click Open. (I did this) 3.Be sure to sketch lines to the four reference planes in the template: top, bottom, left, and right. Do not dimension to the overall width or height of the door or window. (I did this) 4.Save the family. (No problem) 5.In a project view, create a curtain wall with panels. Size the curtain wall grid cells to the size of the curtain wall door or window you created. (I selected wall in the modelling design bar and selected curtain wall as the type) 6.Load the curtain wall door or window family. (No problem. It loads to the curtain panel family) 7.Select a panel in the current wall. From the Type Selector, choose the family type you created to swap in the family. (This is where I get stuck) 8.If desired, create a new door or window schedule to include the curtain wall doors or windows (Haven't got there yet) cadjockey

Once you've drawn your curtain wall you can sub out the panels to custom ones or door/windows/other walls as needed. Hover your mouse over the curtain wall, tab select until you only select the panel (not the entire wall). The type selector (drop down menu next to the properties button) becomes active and you can cycle through and pick an alternate panel for your curtain wall... HTH.

Sorry, this is the fist time in this forum, and my english is not so good,

I'll try to explain my problem:

Windows Abacus with curtain wall windows panels: adding the field "from Local", because I need to know in which local is the windows insert to computate the dimension rispect the floor surface, the window panel in the cortain wall is not associated to the correct local, but to another one, and it seems that this happen only with the cortain wall horizontal rispect the plan and not with the vertical one's.

Is there anyone can help me?
