Hi,

I am a new learner of Revit. This is an elevation I'm working on. Now I have some problems on modeling. Due to Windows XP system for whole company, I only can use Revit 2009.

In the first picture, the I circled the part need removing in red. I created the canopy structure with "solid sweep" because the profile is multi-geometrical. But as you see, the whole building shows different curves in 2 sides. So could you guys tell me where to find "point-edit" or other means to create it?

In the secion picture, I want to change the aluminium panle's pattern. The pattern should be showed as the red line, rather othan attach some pattern in rendering mode. Could any one who has experience teach me that?

 Thank you!!

The first problem may be solved by the "Cut" tool on the modify tab.

The second picture is too hard to analyze by forum chat. Sorry

In order to use the cut tool.... you have to have something to cut with.   You can do an in-place void extrusion and set it to trim your sweep.

For your second image, you might look at void or solid reveals.  I would not suggest doing a special hatch but you can if you know how to create one with that large a pettern.
