Hi all,
I am trying to create a roof with a 1 deg pitch.
Revit tells me it can't create the roof with this pitch. The best it can do is 3 deg.
Is there a default setting I need to adjust so that a 1 deg pitch is possible.

i just tried mr spot's suggestion of a 1 deg roof - no issue.
at the risk of stating the obvious, is your sketch fully closed? is each slope side at the correct angle?

Hi guys,
The roof is a very simple form. I have created a simple roof structure : a 200mm structure layer and then a 50mm finish layer I have called sheet metal.
The roof footprint is a simple square and the sketch is closed. I have toggled three sides and left one side un-toggled (at my box gutter) in order to create the slope angle. The roof is based on a common wall plate level and offset as required.
This should be simple.
Is it a glitch with version 7.0 as this is what I am currently using.

Shouldn't be a glitch in version 7 as i don't remember every having issues with that as i'd often have 1 degree pitched roofs.
When you explained it have you got 3 sides defining slopes? or 1? The side to host the gutter should be the only slope defining line.
Unfortunately i don't have a copy of Revit 7 installed to test...

Mr Spot,
The only side with a pitch is the gutter edge.

a thought -
have you put negative 1 degree on the slope defining edge by any chance? i have managed to use negative slopes at the 'head' of a roof, and it works.
also, based on many roof comments in revitcity, maybe you should try a slope arrow?

I found the problem.
You cannot have a pitch lowere than 3 degress if you have your rafter cut set to 'two cut square'.
At least with version 7
