I have an AutoCAD file in which the land survey points are marked by blocks. When I try to create a surface from that layer, I come up empty. I can't explode the blocks either because then the information is lost. Is there a way to extract the information from the blocks in Revit or AutoCAD for the toposurface command to work? My current solution is to go over these points manually, which is a hassle and an enormous waste of time... I've attached the file and the information is in the layer 'TR_XYZ'. There are also layers named 'contours' that have partial information about the site. Any help would be highly appreciated!

in that layer there is a small dot with the correct elevation. create a layer, change into that layer the dot, explode all, delete unused layers. Save it, or copy/paste that points into a new file (its just to get more performance in revit) then import it to revit ... then follow the instructions in help of revit

This topo looks just like the ones I typically get from my surveyor's. I generally use the import 3D data method. Follow the outline in your help menu. When the optional import data window opens. I generally only select the major and minor contours and the points. Should be no problem to get a surface which will look almost exactly like the surveyor's map.

Thank you for your help!
I found a command in AutoCAD that extracts the information from blocks, it's actually called 'Data Extraction' (Tools > Data Extraction).
Not the easiest thing to work with but you can filter everything down to the blocks, select only the XYZ positions and voila, you got yourself a CSV file you can import into Revit.
The best thing to do is to ask the surveyor for any points files he has, but if you can't get that, this is a good way to go.
The result (due to inaccurate documentation) resembled a crater on the moon more than anything that can be found on our planet, but by deleting spikes and by using 'Simplify Surface' I managed to get something that looks halfway decent.
Once again, thanks for the help.
