In an AREA PLAN, that I have set for Gross Building Area, the AREA RULES checkbox designates that a "PICK" selected wall will have the AREA BOUNDARY LINE placed at the outside face of finish. Is there any way to create another AREA RULE (or modify Gross Bldg Area rule) to "PICK" the Ext. Core Boundary of the wall? I realize I can uncheck the AREA RULES, and manually pick any element or part thereof. I was just looking for more customizability to this already incredibly useful tool. Thanks!

this is a good question, I don't use the exterior finish as part of gross area. perhaps different parts of the country use different rules. I think it would be great if it were possible to change this rule to as you say exterior core.
