Hi, Traditionally in our door schedules we always have a column which tells the reader which room the door is located within. This is quite easy to set up in AutoCAD Architecture. Is there a way to do this in Revit? Cheers.

In the door schedule..."Select available fields from"... To Room / From Room. You will need to learn how revit determines the to and from.

Hows can I use these in a Calculated Value? Essentially, I want to show one room which each door is related to, I cannot just show either the 'From Room: Number' or the 'To Room Number' as they might be blank in the case of exteral doors. Do I would like to do a Calculated value which says if one is blank, then use the other. Something like: if(From Room: Number="",To Room: Number,From Room: Number) This doesn't work, I get the error 'Improper use of boolean expressions'. What am I doing wrong?? Cheers.

Sorry... from the HELP - Conditional statements can contain numeric values, numeric parameter names, and Yes/No parameters We have no formula operations for text except I believe =.

Well thats disappointing. Its funny, I certainly thing RA is a better product than AutoCAD Architecture but in a few areas, such as this one, RA is way behind. Cheers.

Here is a possible fix... Declare a new variable. number ... If (Number=1, To room,From room)... OK? Not automatic, you will have to set it in the door family - instance fariable assigned in the project to doors.
