When I place a new beam, the placement plane drop down box contains all the old levels that I have since deleted.  I think that if I delete a level, it should really be gone.  How do I get rid of these "ghost" levels?

Did you delete the level, or just an accociated plan view? Go to an elevation view, and you should be able to see the levels. Delete them there.

Nope.  I cannot find these dead levels anywhere.  I even stretched the view of the section and dragged the grids as far as they could go and looked in E-W and N-S sections....they are not there, but they will not disappear from the choices...I guess it is not that big of a problem, but it is annoying.  What happened is that I was creating levels and they would not show up in view, so I just kept on making new ones....so now I have level: level 3, level:level 4... on and on.  there's like fifteen extra levels.  I even created a beam using a dead level and it shows up in a section view at some random elevation.

The levels are still there.

Mr. Spot posted this in one of the similar threads you can see below any post:

Use a scope box. 1. Select the scope box tool in plan and draw a box to the full extents of your model. 2. Go to an elevation and drag the boxes top and bottom points so the box contains all model elements. 3. Draw a new level in elevation. 4. Right click on the newly created level and choose to select all instances. 5. Go to properties and set them to apply to the scope box. 6. They should now all be visible. You can delete the scope box if you no longer require it. HTH.
