Has anyone here used Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2011?  I'm playing with the 30 day trial right now, trying to figure out if our company could use it.  Anyone know where I can find like a webinar or pdf tutorial on it?  I've looked on Youtube, and haven't found anything particularly helpful.  I'm looking for an actual example that I can walk myself through.

In the meantime, in the structure that I'm using to learn, I applied the loads in Revit, and then sent the information to Robot, and my wind loads showed up as dead loads instead.  I've been trying to figure out how to delete them or change them to wind loads, and have not figured it out yet.

Also, this may be a silly question, but does Robot pick member sizes for you similar to Bentley's RAM?  Or is this strictly for load analysis?

Thank you!

I have Robot and have been using it a little for the past several years. I usually put my loading in through Robot rather than Revit which I also have. As far as sizing members it has capabilities to size members but I usually do it myself, because I am usually constrained by size issues. it will show you which beams are over stressed and where and then you can make the adjustments and rerun the program. The fellow that I have dealt with at StrucSoft Inc. Aamir Masood (a.masood@strucsoftsolutions.com). He knows the software very well and can probably help you with tutorial info.
