Hi,
I am trying to add sidewalks and curbs to a model of a sub division. i have tried spliting the toposurface so that the sidewalk is its own sufrace then raising it, but revit will not let me split the toposurface i have no idea why. I have split it into exactally 2 pieces, The sidewalk is set back from edge of street by a 2' grass strip. revit will not let me split topo into this grass stripe either. when i try to make the sidewalk a subregion, i sketch it all out and it looks perfect but when i complete sketch, sidewalk looks like a 2" stripe in the wrong place.
any ideas anyone?

Hmm, if its ending up in the wrong place it might be an idea to check to make sure your work plane is parallel the view your working in... I would've thought that the work plane would be the toposurface and thus it shouldn't matter, but that is the only reason i can think of at the moment...
Just set your work plane before drawing the sketch.
