Hi, i have a glass railing in front of a window in elevation and i want my glass to be 50% transparant, so you can still see the glass and see the window behind it, Is this possible?

you change your material sttings for the glass to be 50%. but that is only going to work in a 3d view. you could set your 3d view to front, back, side etc. that way you will see through the glass.

In the railing family, you could change the visibilty of the railing to be hiden in front elevation then show symbolic lines instead.

You can over-ride the graphics of the railing element in the view by pre-highlighting it, right clicking and choose over-ride element and select 'transparent'.

As a work around, you might try making the glass transparent and adding a transparent filled region (grey) over the opening.

or, you could click on the glass (in elevation view) and right-click, override graphics in view, by element, and go to transparncy settings. voila!
