I am trying to make this Fire Alarm so that no matter what direction the wall is facing, the letter in the tag can be upright.  I have tried several approaches with limited scess.  The closest I have come is this Fire Alarm with a symbol and letter.  If the letter is F it will turn in any direction.  If the letter is H it won't turn at all.

Does anyone have a better idea for solving this problem?

Or, can anyone help figure out why my tag only works on F?

Thanks again for all the help.

I'll take another look at it, but it looked like the text rotation portion of the Horn family was alittle different than the strobe one. (one sign was that the default for the Horn rotation family was 45 degrees, and when you change to that type, it doesn't rotate 45 degrees)

Not sure the exact fix, but i would reccommend taking a step back and making the family simpler. for instance, instead of having 3+ levels of nested families, maybe just 1-2 levels of nested families.  also, each variation of text doesn't need to be its own family.  it can all be one parameter.

Unless you found a solution already, I hope this helps.  I like youre ideas of manipulating the rotation of the text.
