I'm able to extend the joist top chord. The extension shows in section, 3d, medium view & fine view. How do I get the extension to show in course view?

you would have to open the family and select the item and adjust visibility/ graphics over ride and check the box for course. med and fine will already be selected.

I tried this but they show all finely detailed in the coarse view.
