is it possible to raise one corner of the roof in order to provide a pitch to a vally in the  roof. here is what im talking about.   as you can see if i leave the roof without a pitch i will have a spot the water will sit at.  what do you guys think?  what are my options for this sinario.  can i set the roof up differantly?

I believe what you really want to do is create a cricket. You can do this by creating an additional roof with a slope of say -1:12, in the area as a triangle.

1.  You can create this roof by using footprint. First determine the elevation of the eave line at the intersection of the roofs

2.  I would calculate the intersection of the 2 sloping roofs.

3.  You could create a cross section along the center line of the slope draw a line indicating the 1:12 slope from the eave, measure this distance.

4.  Then once you have invoked the roof by footprint create a line offset from the fascia by the dimension in question.

5.  Make this the line to slope from indicating a negative slope with the adjusted elevation as the starting elevation.

6.  Then you should be able to create the other two sides of the triangle, to form your cricket.

The simpler thing to do would be to extend the lower porch roof over the existing gable and thereby cleaning up all this.

i would leave the slope off the left side and join the two roofs together. they would build it that way with overlay framing.
