I'm having trouble with changing the color and appearance of the solid fill in my annotation symbols. I have tried modifying the annotations directly from my Libraries but regardless of what I acheive, they still appear as Revit Blue when they are reloaded into projects. Is there a project or template setting that I am missing?

They are controlled in your annotation object styles...
Settings-->object styles-->annotations

I assume your referring to section tags. I can't seem to find a setting that lets you change the colour of the revit hyperlinks...
Is there any particular reason you need to change them? You can either print them blue or black or no fill...

There is an architectural firm in Wellington NZ (Herriot + Melhuish Architecture I think) who have changed the colours of their hyperlinks( new terminology to me), and their drawings look amazing. For certain projects a more customised/ graphical presentation would be desireable directly from revit, without the need to photoshop or alternativly create presentation drawings in drafting lines and components.
