Is it possible to host a wall-mounted family to a mullion in a curtain wall?  I've created a louver system that needs to have its support brackets hosted against the mullions of a curtain wall.

Is there any way to do this?

Sorry but a mullion is not a wall. Is it possible to put a wall in that panel and host your louver?

I actually had that brainstorm about five minutes ago, that worked.  I would prefer to have it be intelligently mounted, but so long as it's in the right place it should be fine.

Another question.  Would it be possible to change a wall mounted generic model so that it'll place against any face?

That question was also just asked.  You have to create a face based object.  Prior to 2011, you could not transfer anything between wall based and face based families.  However, in 2011, you can copy some elements.
