Hi guys, I thought I was told ages ago that its possible to convert .skp files to .rfa for a quick and easy way of getting models into revit families for projects in revit architecture, etc.

Does anyone here know how this might work? If so, what programs can I use, etc.

Thanks!

Press F1 in Revit and type "SKP" into search. You will find easy tutorial here.

It is done using "Import CAD" into family. Here you just select file type "SKP" at bottom.

And as you can see below there are many topics on revitcity about this.

Keep in mind when you import the rendering will be gray, use the revitcity search to find out how to aply the materials
