Hello everyone...

I have a wall which is 9" thick brick masonry + 1" thick finish in its exterior : going from Level 1 to level 2.

Now, i go to level 2 and make a beam on the same wall position. My beam is also 9" wide.

I need the wall finish also to cover the beam because of which i have taken the walls also upto level2.

But when i finish making the beams,  i receive an error message saying "One element is completely inside another" and then it cuts the beam.

Do we have any solution to this????

please suggest.

thank you

Hi, Please refer the attachment. I tried modifiying the wall type to reveal at top with a profile of the beam size which will show the finishes on either sides of the beam. If you have different size of beams, you may need to edit/add the wall type accordingly. Alas! I have this option only. Hope the experts may suggest better options.

well.. that seems like a long work around.. as the finishing of the walls in each room could be different. it will be very time consuming to develop profiles for all different beams....

can we not have any simple solution to this??

thanks
