When i try to edit a group, i can't see the group panel anymore. (The panel with the buttons: add to group, finish group,...) I can close groups with keyboard shortcuts but i don't know how to add something to a group without these buttens. Where can i find them or turn them on again?

I'm having the same problem today. Where's the group editor? Anyone?

Are you saying that these buttons disappeared?

I found it can be resolved by turning the recent files screen on and then back off again in View-User Interface.

Me thinks it's a bug...

Cheers,

Steven

have you selected your group to edit first.  because the panel does not come up until the group itself has been selected. same way with when you select items to group you do not get the option to group until you have first selected your items to group together.

No, that is not the panel I'm missing. I can open a group after I selected it.

This is the panel i'm missing. (I took this picture in the help files because i can't see it anymore in revit)

Why is it gone and how can i get it to reappear?

Yes, i am using dual screens so that must be it. But this didn't happen in 2010 so i think it is a bug that started with revit 2011.

For now the panel has returned. Opening a group in a family and not in a project got it back. If it gets lost again, i'll try the tips in the link you gave me.

thanks

i am having the same issue.     I tried a shutdown / restart.  it didn't re-appear during group edits,  then later it began to re-appear, i don't know why.  Mysterious!
