I am working on a project where we will be adding additional below grade space to an existing basement. The new space will be below a landscaped plaza. I have modeled the existing structure, which is a three story university science building, and added a topo surface for the site. There are building pads that define the bottom of the excavation for both the existing building and the addition. This method cuts the excavation out of the site model for the existing building and for the addition, but does not allow me to show the site work that will be above the new below grade section of the building. I would like to be able to show site in the landscaped plaza above the new below grade building. Does any one know how to accomplish this?

Add another site above in the cut area.
