I am running Revit 2010 MEP with a Windows 7 O.S. I have downloaded several Revit families to help keep my office current but there becomes an issue when I go to upgrade the file. I'll run through the issue: I download a family From RevitCity.com and place it in folder 'A'. The family is made in a later version of Revit so I open it in my version to update it. Open the file do a simple save and close. Now I need to move the file from folder 'A' to folder 'B'. When I do this through explorer a window pops up saying that it is calculating. It will sit and calculate forever. I have at one time let it do this for 20 mins and I get nothing. To add to the frustration once I try and move it once it bog's my explorer down forcing it to now search for my hard drive, server, favorites, etc... where it normally has it pulled up and ready to use. I than have to shut down my computer to fix this glitch. I have tried to override the file with one that did work and it does the same thing and I have tried to delete it and run into the same issue. An example family that has been giving me trouble is the Artichoke Pendent Light Copper.  Any help would be appreciated thank you.

what if you copy the file to the new folder first and then open the family, and save.
