I am using revit 2011. I have double doors that I am putting into a curtain wall. The doors work fine as a system panel. The problem I am having is that I need a vertical mullion above centered on the double doors. When I draw the curtaini grid for this mullion it carries through the double door and thus cuts that system panel into two sets of double doors. It there a way to keep a curtain grid from going from the top of a wall to the bottom of the wall? Thanks.

Curtain grids in Revit ALWAYS go either completely vertical or horiz. Each segment can be turned on/off. [A segment is defined as a section of the curtain grid divided by intersecting grids] It is important to understand this rule before going to the solution. When placing a new curtain grid, you restrict the 'on' behaviour to an individual segment by checking the 'current segment only' box on the option bar. If the grid is an existing grid, the select the curtain grid [hover, tab, pick], once selected, choose the on/off button and click on a segment to change its status to on or off as it is a toggle function. See the HELP menu for detailed explanation as it is critical to understand curtain wall options to effectively use Revit.

So in revit is it not possible to have a mullion stop and allow for a double wide system panel at some point? If you turn off the curtain grid line all of the mullions above disappear. If you just delete the mullion at the base to allow for a double panel you end up with two panels that you cannot join together. Am I missing a work around? This is pretty basic curtain wall construction.
