So, I have interior walls, stairs, columns, etc. that are not showing up when I place my floor. If I hide/ delete the floor, all is well. All the visibility graphics are good, the view range is exactly where it should be. But, when I put my floor in and it is visible, everything within the outer boundaries of the floor seem to be getting covered up....though when I hover over the stair, wall, etc. it highlights and can be selected. Thanks in advance.. I'm using 2010. image attached....

Cut a section and look where your floor really is.

The floor is where it needs to be. If you look at the image, there's a 3-d with a section box....

Too, I realize the plan view, with the light bulb on, is a little miss leading. When I pan around, zoom in and out, or turn on the hidden objects light bulb, they show up. Otherwise, nada.

You really don't give us enough information to help you. - Well ... in your section box, I see two floors I assume you mean the ground floor slab but I am only guessing.
- You say the cut range is correct but where is that?
- Pick the floor in question in the section view so we know which one is the problem

It's happening for both floors, first and second, in the plan views. The view ranges for both are, currently; Top: 7'-6", Cut: 4'-6", Bottom and View Depths are unlimited. I've also tried zero for Bottom and View Depth and various other placements for Top and Cut planes. Top and Cut are associated with their respective Associated Levels, Ground Floor and Second Floor see attached image). The floors themselves are at 0'00" base offset, at their respective levels, except one area where the floor ramps up 1'-8". When I delete this portion of the floor, there's no luck for the area that still has a floor. I've also tried changing the floor types and lowering the floor 2' below where it needs to be, both efforts change nothing. There's no topography getting in the way. The only other things in the model other than walls, stairs, floors, windows, etc. are a few CAD imports, which I've tried deleting with no luck. My apologies for being vague.

i aggree with wwhub. sounds to be a cut plane issue. also, don't see a hole in your floor for your stairs, that could cause your stairs on the upper level not to show up.

I should also add that there's no phasing going on. It's all new construction, as far as Revit is concerned. Sorry for the double post above.

Your floor definition is what? Post that properties image. Underlays?

Other things to consider: 1. What discipline is your view set to? If it is structural that may explain your graphics. 2. Is there an underlay on in your view? Edit: WWHub beat me to this one! 3. View filters applied? We are only guessing as you don't provide the whole story of the view properties in question. Edited on: Wed, May 26, 2010 at 3:42:39 PM

Ok, so here's what I just did. Moved the ground floor (slab, not level itself) down 12', nothing happened; Changed the view range Depth and Bottom to unlimited (I had changed it to 0'00" @ Associated Level), nothing happened; Moved the floor back to 0'00", nothing happened; Changed the view Range back to 0'00" @ Associated Level......I now have walls in my floor plans. For the record, they're now 8" generic floors and where when I started. I don't know what happened. Don't care, really. As far as I can tell, Revit was being an @$$hole. Thanks for all your time and attention. My best, Ben
