I'm having a problem with spaces. I'd like to define the space as not the finish part of the wall but center of the wall. I know you can do this for rooms and area, but I want to know if you can do it for spaces.

Ok so I have a room that is 10'x10' from inner wall to inner wall. This gives me an area of 100 sqft. However, I want to be able to change the area to read from centerline to centerline. This is essential for electrical calculations.

Change the "Area Boundary Line" to create a new perimeter for that space....

I believe MEP's spaces are different than arch rooms and areas.

They are. That was my question if I could change how the space reads the sqft like I can do for archiectural area's and rooms.

I think you are stuck due to the room bounding option. That has to be check in your arch model to make MEP spaces work. I have tested it out a little in my project and I can't find a way to get the space area to go beyond the bounding elements of the room.

Good Luck

Please post your solution if you find one.
