Downloaded Kawneer 1600 wall system project and noticed that the mullions aren't quite centered on the Curtain Grid. Check the composite screen shot with the Mullion Properties and the Curtain Grid selected. Thought it was a Kawneer issue, so I made my own from scratch. Same result. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a bug in the Mullion Profile template?

First, I will not use these components because they are overloaded. You only need a simple rectangle profile family for the model mullion elements then a detail component for plan and section details. You will find that your modeil will really be bogged down using these. Second ... If the Kawneer family was built incorectly, then shame on them. The problem is very evident in you image and maybe something you changed somehow. The width on side one and two are not equal, thus the mullion is not centered.

Update. It's Kawneer's faulty content. I did another simple test and the new mullion profile worked fine. I need to make a new Kawneer type mullion with detail from scratch. I don't think it overloads the model because the detail is embedded in the profile and is only visible when fine visibility is set in a view. If I had it my way, I wouldn't put this much detail in. Unfortunately the office I work for wants that level of detail in their drawings. This is a trend I've noticed since CAD came into the office. When we drew by hand we only drew a rectangle and everyone new what was gong on. Another trend is crappy content from manufacturers and from Autodesk itself. Kawneer's attempt at providing BIM content is a great example. Back to the drawing board.

To make the Kawneer mullions center propperly you need to open the curtain mullion family from Kawneer and make sure the "Defines Origin" check box is checked for the Center (Left/Right) and Center (Front/Back) reference planes. Also make sure the nested profile family is locked to the Center (Left/Right) reference plane.
