I am new to Revit and am working on my first project. I have phasing set up but am having problems with new doors and demo'd doors interfering with each other. We are demo'ing an old door and replacing it with a larger new door. When I go to place the new door I get an error and either can't place the new door or I have to delete the old door. This seems like a a major flaw in the phasing system and can't believe that there isn't a way to do it. I have looked through the Revit help file, AutoDesk's Knowledge Base, and RevitCity forums but can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is probably caused by revit wanting to fill in the demo'd opening and your new door wanting to remove that. I think Revit does need an option to just remove a door / window and not fill in the opening. I have not run across this problem but I could get around it visually by using design options.
