I am having problems w/ a wall showing the proper hatching at the cut plane location. I have the cut plane at 3' above the level and I have a 4'-8" wall. If the wall is change to at least 5'-9" then the hatching shows correctly for just a masonry wall. If I have the wall at 4'-8" I get a shaded wall with no hatching. If I put the cut plane at 6' it shown correctly as being above the all w/ no cut. With the cut plane at 3' it shows the wall being cut (just shaded no hatching). I cannot figure out what is going on. This seems to be true of any wall that is greater than the 5'-9" showing the hatching and less than 5'-9" not showing the hatching. Seems like it is a cut plane issue in the view properties but I can't seem to solve it.

any wall in revit that has an "unconnected" height of less than 6'-0"will only shown in projection. that is "unconnected height", not connected height.

Any way to change this in Revit 2011? I have a wall less than 6' that I need to show as cut and can't attach to a floor above because it's offset from the edge of the floor (outwards).

Try this. Make the wall tall enough to show correctly, then edit the wall profile reducing it to the height you want. Now it should show correctly.
