I am having problems getting a material to change in Revit on a counter base that I created using sweep.  No matter what I try to do, I am not able to get the Material and Finishes parameter to open by going through Edit Type like it does in all my other pieces that I have downloaded.  I have tried different ways to make a new parameter through the type button, but still no luck.  The only way that it seems that I can get the material screen to open is through the manage tab, but even then, the material does not change even though I change it around.  I am still a beginner at Revit and may not be making any sense, but if anyone has any ideas what I can do, it would be greatly appreciated.

If there are anythings you would like a creen shot of to maybe help in this matter, I will try and put them up.  Just tell me what you would need, and how to find it.

I have decided to scrap that model and try fresh, if I run into problems, I will try to post again when I can be more clear about what is the problem.

First edit the "Sweep", pick on the sweep and go to properties, you must create a parameter to that material... follow the first image

then, after finish the sweep, click on it, go to the properties and change material like you want... see the second image...

Very Nice, thank you.  I will give it a go since I tried a new one and ran into same problem.

That worked like a charm Typhoon.  Just want to thank you again. That has been tormenting me for a week or so.
