Has anyone used schedules to track items. For instance i am working on a lab project that will involve changing out lab cabinets. I was wanting to have a single schedule telling me how many of the cabinets are demolished and how many are existing to be reused and how many new cabinets will be needed. I am just unsure how to go about creating a scheudle that would cover all of this information or how to get a parameter to read phasing and phase demolished and phasing created. I would just like to here some thoughts, thanks.

I would think you can get this information but maybe not as one schedule. Remember, you can always stack schedules in sheet views (without titles) so that they appear to be one schedule.
