Hi Guys I need to create a wall which has a layer that consists of vertical battens and another layer that consists of horizontal battens both with air gaps in between them. I imagine this would be possible with a curtain wall but does that not then make it difficult to put doors and windows in? All my walls will be simple straight walls. I am using Revit Architechture 2010. Would appreciate any advice you can give Rob

You could do this with wall sweeps. The vertical would have to be in-place rather than in the wall definition. I would do them both in place. I might think about doing the battons as an in-place family and use a void to cut where I need it it the in-place family. Category would be wall. All the horizontals would be one extrusion and all the verticals would be another. Then the void extrusion. Pretty simple.

Can you add vertical + horizontal elements in a wall sweep at certain intervals? |
