Hi,

Does anyone knows how to apply wood paneling and  the trim moldings to a bare wall?

Can this be done as a sweep and or reveal or as a curtain wall?

Kind of clueless at the moment.

thanks

Like this? Use create in-place in the category wall to create a void to reveal the portion of the wall then use a normal wall with the thickness you want to create the wood panel inside the wall, then use a create in-place to create the trim aroud the "opening" use the sweep....

What Typhoon posted works but I believe you are just talking about a wall finish.  Do do what I think you want, you have several options:

  1. If the wood is full height, add that material to your wall as a layer and assign it the proper render material.
  2. Even if the material is partial height, do the same as 1 except unlock the layer so you can pull it down to wainscott height.
  3. Splt the wall face as needed and "paint bucket" the material as the finish.
  4. Use a thin wall placed again your main wall and join them.

The trim can be added:

  1. As a sweep built into the wall definition.  (Can not hide or turn off in plans.)
  2. Can be added as a sweep later.
