Hello all, this place has been a great help (thanks!), but I still couldn't come up with a way to do this..... I have floor plans with many offices. These offices fall within different departments. These departments are administered by different people whos names I need to include in the "Room Tag" in each office. So, I have department "Area plans" named w/ the departments and I'm trying to somehow connect the Admin to the Department, but show that in the Room tag for each office....hope that explains it.... I've added parameters to the Room Tags that can diplay this info, I just can't seem to tie them together. I'd like to ultimitely have "Mr. Jones'" name show up in all offices that fall within the "Executive" areas....HELP! thanks Dru

You need to assign a shared paramter to ROOMs in the project. You can then schedule or tag that parameter.

Thanks for the reply...I've added the parameter, but am unaware as to how to tie the info from the area tags to it. Everything is labeled and I'v even created my new room tag to show this info, but, like I said, can't seem to tie the two together so I don't have to physically type 1 of say 6-8 admin's names in the 500 rooms....Can this be done, or am I asking too much? Thanks again

Oh... want you want you can't have - there is no way for this to be smart. You have to type it in but you can be smart about that. Use a schedule and filter it so you can get as many similar rooms on one line - change this parameter and it's done in those rooms. You can also select the rooms in a plan...multiple... and change this one paramter under the room properties.

YEah, thanks WWHub, I think I came to the same conclusion yesterday......and to add something similar to your comment, I've also noticed in a schedule, you can highlight multiple rooms "show" and then change them all at once. Thanks for your help! Dru
