I am a revit mep 2010 user, i need to take some camera angle views for the purposes of a brochure. when i make a view and go to it all the mep equipment shows through the walls as if they were transparent. how do i change the settings or manipulate the view so the items on the other side or behind a wall dont show through? I checked the linetype and it was already set to hidden lines...how do i make the walls opaque?

Is your view (not lines) set to hidden line? Are the materials the wall is made of transparent? Are the walls in this view over-ridden in VG making them transparent? Are the MEP items in a linked file?

I don't use MEP but I think this is similar. In VG, there is a checkbox to "show categories from all disciplines" - check that and walls should be available.

According to some others that posted in the chat your problem may be the VP graphics/discipline setting. I don't use MEP so I don't know the affect changing that setting will do for you.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem?

Check what happens if you change the discipline of the view.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I had to change my view template discipline from electrical to coordination.
