I'm a residential/commerical design firm looking to move into revit. I mostly design home but have a small commerical side also to the company which is headed up by our engineer. What I need to know is if i purchase Revit structure will I have all the tools needed to complete my residential jobs. Complete with nice renderings of homes. Are do I need to purchase revit architecture. What is the main difference between the two.

Thanks

You may be better off with Architecture rather than structure.  There is very little need for Revit structure in residential or even small commercial projects but architecture will give you the tools you need including rendering.

Revit Structure does not calculate beam sizes for you.
