GWB Soffits Surrounding Perimeter of Rooms is a scenario that happens alot with what I work on but i have gotten by with dashed lines typically. Any way there is a gwb soffit as seen wiht the attached jpeg. I have been debating alot of approaches to this. Floor Hosted Slab sweeps crossed my mind but /\_/\ How do you guys model such a thing. Can you not make a generic model and use solid sweep to make it and just drop it in ?

We use ceilings and bulkhead walls between them.

Thanks all for the input. First off I hate generic models. In my opinion they are just last resort like yeah i can manually sweep this but why go through all that if you can host something or use a more specific tool for your element. I have seen too many problems down the road with generic models that cause so many nit picky problems and as a result end up being deleted and need recreation. I actually take effort in avoiding them. WW Your suggestion about your approach is the most realistic way and is how they would build it in the real world which is really what you want, though it still take a few extra steps than one... hosted element per say. At this point I did Floor Hosted Slab Edges in the profile of the GWB soffit. Couple clicks and its all done.

Just an update, all i had to do is change the visibility graphics / object style of the slab edges because they wanted to default to floors default attribuites like concrete for example. Its still going ok for now.
