but they are in ele and 3d views, it seems that when i change them from a 150mm frame to 210mm they dissapear in the plan view ive checked all the visibilty graphics etc,... anyone any suggestions as to why they aint showing?????

sounds like an issue with the family, open he family change to the type that you are having the problem with then look at the visibility of the parts that are not showing

Do you have horizontal mullions? Could it be that when you change the size, your cut plane now passes through the horizontal mullion? Change your cut plane a little and see what happens.
