In revit arch 2010:

I am using the standard brick/cmu wall in revit.  At the corners I want to create a pilaster 2' wide on each side of the corner.  On top of that the bottom and top section of the pilaster bumps out an additional 1" or 2".  How would I go about doing this the correct way?  I am relatively new to the program, but learning more everyday so if you answer please answer as if I knew pretty much nothing.

Thanx

You vcan use an architectural column.  It will assume the brick finish of the wall.

Yes I know there are several ways to make it work for rendering but this will be used for construction documents and the floor plan needs to appear correctly with 4" of brick running around the corner.  The column just adds to the brick making it thicker.  Basically i need it to look like the image below without drawing two seperate walls.

Wish you would have been more explicit in your original post.  Even yet, you bring up other questions.  You can do this with walls if you want it right in allvies.  You can do it wioth the architectural columns and add detail work in details... This could be an archiectual column with a grouped set of elements that include filled / masking regions.
