I have worked in revit for a year now and am having trouble figuring out how to make a reveal on the wall face that is a hexagon with a 2' inside diameter.  I tried making various profiles and applying them to a wall by using wall reveal and then by editing the structure in section view and neither was able to produce the reveal on the face of the wall.  If anyone has any idea as to how to create this reveal I would greatly appreciate the help.  Thanks!

I've attached a rendering I did in 3ds max quickly of what I want the exterior wall face to look like.

I'm sure you can do that with the "Conceptual Mass" in 2010...

I've tried to make a conceptual mass and then divide the surface using the hexagon pattern and then creating another mass and placing it on the pattern but I cannot seem to get it to work.  If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it and thanks for replying.

I got the conceptual mass to work.  Thanks for your help.  Is there any way to get the mass to show up in a section view?  Is it part of visibity graphics?  Thanks again for the help.

You must create that panel in a family "Curtain Panel Pattern Based" then load into the Conceptual mass family then change the surface with that new panel, the panel can be parametric if you want...
