So we keep typical details in drafting views in container projects. We insert these details from the container files into real projects as needed. In 2009 we never had any problems. But in 2010, we get an error message that says "Unable to copy elements from file" quite often. It seems to happen when we try to copy multiple drafting views at once, say more than 5 or 10 at a time. We never had this problem in 2009. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why it is doing this? Thanks

just a thought have you upgraded the views to 2010. Revit will want to upgrade each view, I believe to the new format.

I ran into this problem a couple of weeks ago. Are you constraining elements within the view you are inserting? If you are inserting multiple view, try to insert one at a time and see which ones it will allow/reject.
