Using Revit Architecture 2010. Need to create a roof over an entrance that is KalWall. It's basically 4" rafters with 8" spacing and translucent paneling between them. Can I create a roof system like this without simply using massing?

Why don't you model the kawall as a roof then the rafters seperately. 8" spacing ... wow, thats really narrow! I believe you mean 8' ... but that sounds too far.

no it's 8 inches. theyre not really rafters, structurally speaking, they're more of an aesthetic thing, i just know i can model them as rafters. i've been trying to model them all as a single roof element and i can't figure out if its even possible. thanks for the help tho man

One in-place family with an arrayed sweep profile should do the trink rather easily. Just do one path, create the profile and array it at your spacing then you will ahve them all at once. BTW ... Keep your path on the bottom edge of the rafters - just a hint.

Just out of curiosity, what is the shape you want for your Kalwall?? some images will help, if this is what i think, MAYBE with the "Sloped Glazing" system...
